MUSLIM Institute organized a Roundtable Discussion titled “Iqbal: A Bridge between the East and the West” on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad. Ambassador of Hungary to Pakistan, His Excellency Dr. Zoltán Varga, was the chief guest of the event, whereas Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar, Dean of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology at COMSATS University, Islamabad delivered the opening remarks. Other distinguished speakers included Dr. Abdul Basit, Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Media Studies at Bahria University, Islamabad; Dr. Sajid Mehmood, Assistant Professor at Government Postgraduate College, Mansehra; and Mr. Muhammad Azeem, PhD Scholar at the University of the Punjab, Lahore. The session was moderated by Ms. Zunera Mumtaz lecturer Kohsar University Muree.

MUSLIM Institute, in collaboration of Embassy of Azerbaijan, Islamabad, organized a Round Table Discussion on “Pakistan-Azerbaijan Brotherhood: Commemorating the ‘Day of Mourning’ and the Martyrs of Black January,” at the National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad. H.E. Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, delivered the Keynote Speech, whereas Dr. Aalia Sohail Khan, Country Director for the American Institute of Pakistan Studies (AIPS), delivered the opening remarks and vote of thanks. Prof. Zameer Awan, Diplomat and Analyst, Dr. Amna Mahmood (The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities ) at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), and Dr. Samina Yasmeen Amin, Chairperson Department of Pakistan Studies (AIOU) were guest speakers on the occasion. Ms. Aynur Salmanova (Head of Azerbaijan Language and Culture Center) moderated the proceedings of the event. The event was attended by researchers, students, academicians, representatives of think tanks, journalists, political leaders, and individuals from diverse walks of life.

MUSLIM Institute organized a seminar titled “9 December – Genocide Prevention Day: Commemorating Genocides and Mass Atrocities against Muslim Populations” at the National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad. Senator Raja Zafar ul Haq, Secretary General of Motamar Al-Alam AlIslami was the Chair of the Session, and Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Chairman of MUSLIM Institute, delivered the opening remarks. The seminar featured insightful addresses by Major General (R) Khalid Amir Jaffery, Former Ambassador of Pakistan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ambassador (R) Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi Qureshi, Former Additional Secretary of Pakistan, as guest speakers. The proceedings were moderated by Prof. Dr. Aalia Sohail Khan, Former Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Women University. The event was attended by researchers, students, academicians, representatives of think tanks, journalists, political leaders, and individuals from diverse walks of life.

MUSLIM Institute organized a Seminar "Black Day of Indian Occupation of Junagadh" on Tuesday November 11, 2025 at National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad. Mr. Ahmer Bilal Soofi, Former Federal Minister for Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, chaired the session and H.H Nawab Ali Murtaza Khanji (Sovereign Ruler of Junagadh State) was Chief Guest on the occasion. Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Chairman of the MUSLIM Institute, delivered the welcoming address and the vote of thanks. Other dignitaries addressing the seminar included Maj. Gen. (R) Zahid Mehmood, Defence & Security Analyst, and Prof. Dr. Nazir Hussain, Former Dean of Social Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. The session proceedings were moderated by Dr. Abdul Basit Mujahid, Dept. of History, Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad. Deans, Professors, academics, research institute representatives, and people from other walks of life participated in the seminar.                              

Seminar "Azerbaijan-Pakistan Brotherhood: Celebrating 5th Anniversary of Victory Day" organized by MUSLIM Institute and Baku International Multiculturalism Centre in Islamabad on November 6, 2025. Ambassador Naela Chohan, Former Acting Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, chaired the session. Other speakers included Rear Admiral Syed Faisal Ali Shah, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Dr. Taraq Waheed, Former Director, Foreign Services Academy, Islamabad, and Samir Ahmedli, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Islamabad and Malik Asif Tanveer Awan, Public Relations officer MUSLIM Institute. The proceedings were moderated by Dr. Abdul Basit. Along with that, researchers, scholars, students, university professors, lawyers, journalists, social activists, and people from different walks of life participated in the seminar.

MUSLIM Institute organized a conference titled “Uzbekistan–Pakistan Shared Cultural History” on September 24, 2025, at Idara-i-Nazaria-i-Pakistan, Lahore, in collaboration with the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Islamabad, and Idara-i-Nazaria-i-Pakistan. Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Chairman of the MUSLIM Institute, chaired the session. Distinguished speakers included the delegation from the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, comprising Prof. Azamat Ziyo, Director of the Institute of History, and Dr. Botir Yuldashev, Research Fellow at the same institute. Other eminent speakers were Mian Farooq Altaf, Senior Vice President, Idara-i-Nazaria-i-Pakistan; Prof. Humayun Ihsan, Dean, Pakistan College of Law; Mr. Rovshan Alimov, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Uzbekistan, Islamabad; Khalifa Zaki Uddin, descendant of a notable family from Bukhara; and Muhammad Hanif Gul, Chief Safety Officer, Pakistan Railways. The proceedings were moderated by Mr. Asif Tanveer Awan, Public Relations Associate, MUSLIM Institute.                                              

MUSLIM Institute, in collaboration with the Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a conference titled “Pakistan-Uzbekistan Shared Cultural History” on September 22, 2025, in Islamabad. Former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General (R) Ehsan ul Haq, was Chief Guest on the occasion, while the Founding Father of MUSLIM Institute, Hadhrat Sultan Muhammad Ali, was the Guest of Honour. Chairman MUSLIM Institute, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, delivered the welcome address, followed by opening remarks from the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, H.E. Alisher Tukhtayev. Other distinguished speakers in the inaugural session included Prof. Azamat Ziyo, Director, Institute of History, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan; Maj. Gen. (R) Khalid Amir Jaffery, President, Centre for South Asia and International Studies; and Ambassador (R) Sarfaraz Ahmed Sipra, Pakistan’s former envoy to Uzbekistan. An introductory presentation was made by Dr. Hamza Iftikhar, Research Associate at MUSLIM Institute, while Dr. Saira Alvi moderated the first session’s proceedings.

The session was chaired by Sardar Masood Khan, former President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, while H.E. Alisher Tukhtayev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, delivered the closing remarks. The proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Chairman MUSLIM Institute. Distinguished speakers included a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Academy of Sciences comprising Prof. Azamat Ziyo, Director, Institute of History; Dr. Botir Yuldashev, Research Fellow, Institute of History and Dr . Odil Zaripov, Scientific Secretary, Institute of History. Other distinguished speakers were Dr. Uzma Siraj, Director, PVE, NACTA Islamabad and Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. The second session was moderated by Dr. Shujahat Haider Hashmi.

MUSLIM Institute organized a conference titled “Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference: Celebrating 1500th Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ” on Monday, 8 September 2025, at National Library, Islamabad. The session was presided over by Senator Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Secretary General of Motamar Al-Alam Al-Islami, while Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Chairman of the MUSLIM Institute, delivered the welcome remarks. Dr. Habib Asim, Chairman of the Iqbal Chair at Bahria University, and Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman, President of the Seerat Research Center and Director General of the DBF Seerat Encyclopedia, expressed their views. The proceedings were moderated by Mr. Yousaf Jan Babar, researcher and writer. At the conclusion of the conference, renowned naat-reciter Raja Hamid Ali presented devotional poetry in praise of the Exalted Prophet ﷺ. Ambassadors, diplomats, scholars, lawyers, policymakers, and academicians participated in the discussions.

An international conference titled "Mevlana Rumi and ḤaḏratSultan Bahoo: Preachers of Human Friendship, Peace, Love, and Harmony" was held in Islamabad under the joint auspices of the MUSLIM Institute and the National Language Promotion Department. Hosted at the National Language Promotion Department on 22-24 April 2025, the event honored the enduring legacy of these two eminent Sufis and underscored the contemporary relevance of their teachings. The conference brought together distinguished dignitaries, scholars, and intellectuals from diverse disciplines to engage in meaningful discourse on the spiritual philosophies of Mevlana Rumi and Ḥaḏhrat Sultan Bahoo. More than 150 speakers, including international delegates, contributed to the event, enriching the dialogue with global perspectives. The conference featured three parallel sessions, fostering dynamic and multifaceted discussions throughout its duration.

MUSLIM Institute, in collaboration with the National Language Promotion Department, Islamabad, organized a three-day international conference titled "Mevlana Rumi and Hadrat Sultan Bahoo: Preachers of Human Friendship, Peace, Love, and Harmony." The conference took place from April 22 to 24, 2025, and featured the participation of national and international scholars who presented their research papers. A large number of attendees from diverse walks of life took part in the event.

MUSLIM Institute organized a seminar titled "Insights from Seerat-un-Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم "(on Friday, February 28, 2025), in Lahore. The event featured an exclusive lecture by renowned scholar and Dean Pakistan College of Law, Lahore, Prof. Humayoun Ihsan. The session was presided over by the Chairman of MUSLIM Institute, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali. Public Relations Associate at MUSLIM Institute, Asif Tanveer Awan, delivered the welcome note, while Dr. Hamza Iftikhar, Assistant Professor at LUMS, moderated the proceedings. The seminar was attended by diplomats, advocates, scholars, academics, and policymakers, who actively participated in the discussions.

MUSLIM Institute, in collaboration with the Embassy of Azerbaijan, organized a seminar at the National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad, to commemorate the Khojaly Genocide and highlight its lasting impact. The event convened diplomats, scholars, academics, and policymakers to discuss the genocide’s humanitarian consequences and explore pathways to justice and accountability.

MUSLIM Institute, in collaboration with the Embassy of Republic of Azerbaijan, organized a seminar at the National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad. The seminar was chaired by Ambassador Sardar Khalid Masood, Former President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. H.E. Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali, Chairman of the MUSLIM Institute, delivered the opening remarks, while Prof. Engr. Zamir Ahmed Awan, Sinologist and Diplomat moderated the proceedings. The event was attended by diplomats, scholars, academics, and policymakers, who actively participated in the discussion.

MUSLIM Institute, in collaboration with the Governor House Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, held a conference at the Governor House, Peshawar on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The event featured an inaugural session and an academic session. His Excellency Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, delivered the welcome address, followed by opening remarks by Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Chairman MUSLIM Institute. The conference attracted a diverse audience, including university vice-chancellors and faculty, members of parliament, literary and intellectual figures, media representatives, policymakers, and individuals from various segments of society. The first session was moderated by Mr. Usama Bin Ashraf.

MUSLIM Institute organized a seminar "Commemorating 32nd Anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide: Demanding Justice" on Monday, February 26, 2024 at National Library, Islamabad. Chairman MUSLIM Institute Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali delivered welcoming remarks where as Chairman, Senate Defence Committee Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed chaired the session. Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan H.E Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan H.E. Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, President CSAIS Institute Maj. Gen. Khalid Amir Jaffery HI(M) (R), Grandson of Allama Iqbal Senator Waleed Iqbal and Writer & Analyst Prof. Dr. Tughral Yamin also addresses the seminar. Research Associate of MUSLIM Institute Mr. Muhammad Mehboob moderated the proceedings.

MUSLIM Institute organized a Seminar on “Commemorating Junagadh Black Day” on Tuesday Nov 10, 2020 at Islamabad. His Highness Nawab Jahangir Khanji (Nawab of Junagadh) chaired the occasion. Chairman MUSLIM Institute Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali delivered the opening remarks. Sardar Masood Khan (President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir) was the Chief guest. Amongst distinguished guests were , Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan Sahib (Federal Minister for Ministry of State and Frontier Regions), Mr. Shehryar Khan Afridi (Chairman Kashmir Committee), Dr. Maria Sultan (Director General, South Asian Strategic Stability Institute), Prof. Dr. Ejaz Akram (Professor of Religion & World Politics Southwestern University of Politics & Law). Research Associate MUSLIM Institute Mr. Usama Bin Ashraf moderated the proceedings.

To mark the Victory Day of Azerbaijan – 8th November 2022 – MUSLIM Institute organized proceedings that featured a human model honouring the completion of two years since Azerbaijan’s victory in Karabakh. Thousands of Pakistanis came together at the Shrine of renowned Sufi Saint, Hadhrat Sultan Bahoo, near Shorkot, Pakistan, and arranged themselves in formation to spell out “Karabakh is Azerbaijan" and “Victory Day of Azerbaijan.” On the occasion, flags of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey were also displayed. 

MUSLIM Institute organized a Seminar titled "Diamond Jubilee of Pakistan: Pakistan's Relations with Central Asian States" in collaboration with Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Lahore. His Excellency Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, was the chief guest on the occasion. Asif Tanveer Awan Advocate, Public Relations Associate moderated the proceedings.

MUSLIM Institute (UK Chapter) organised a book launch ceremony of Sult̲ān Al-'Ārifīn H̱aḏrat Sultan Bahoo's newly translated books by M.A. Khan at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). The launch celebrated the translation of Sultan Al-Arifin Sultan Bahoo’s two books ‘Ayn Al-Faqr - Eye of Spiritual Excellence and Kalīd At-Tawhid - The Key of Monotheism, from Persian to English. The ceremony concluded with an interactive session during refreshments. Ali Iftikhar (Research Associate - MUSLIM Institute, UK Chapter) moderated the proceedings of the session. The event was attended by different diplomats, political personalities, academics, professionals, students, and people from various walks of life.

MUSLIM Institute has launched its worldwide campaign to raise awareness about hate against Islam as well as to bring the comity of nations together to play their constructive role in countering Islamophobia. The Institute holds the honour to actively conduct different activities to combat Islamophobia by bringing together Muslim and non-Muslim scholars to give their intellectual input on the issue of Islamophobia. In continuity of its efforts, MUSLIM Institute organized a Human Model of thousands of people forming “UN Thank You” shape to respect the resolution unanimously adopted by the United Nations General Assembly proclaiming 15 March as International Day to combat Islamophobia. The event was held at the Shrine of Hadrat Sultan Bahoo Jhang, Pakistan. In addition to human model, flags of fifty seven Muslim Countries were also displayed around the logo of the UN human model. The participants wore white dresses and chanted slogans “UN Thank You” and “Islam is Peace”. The event was held under the patronage of the Founding Father of MUSLIM Institute Hadrat Sultan Muhammad Ali. Chairman MUSLIM Institute and Dewan of Junagadh State Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali also addressed on the occasion. A large number of people from media, civil society, and different walks of life participated in the event.

University of the Punjab, Lahore, MUSLIM Institute, and Government College University, Lahore jointly collaborated and organized an International Conference on the 9th and 10th of May, 2022, at University of the Punjab, Lahore. Foreign delegation and people from different walks of life participated in the conference.

MUSLIM Institute organized a seminar titled "Mevlana Rumi & Allama Iqbal" on Friday, 18th February 2022 at Lahore. Chief Guest of the event was H.E. Dr. Ali Erbaş (President of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Turkey). Welcoming Remarks were delivered by H.E. Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali (Dewan of Junagadh State & Chairman MUSLIM Institute) & guest of honour was Pir Noor-Ul-Haq Qadri (Federal Minister, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Pakistan). Other speakers included Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi (Vice Chancellor, GC University, Lahore) & Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar (Vice Chancellor, University of Sargodha). Mr. M. Hamza Iftikhar (Research Associate MUSLIM Institute) moderated the proceedings of the seminar.

MUSLIM Institute organized a special lecture on ‘Pakistan-Kazakhstan relations: opportunities to enhance cooperation’ at MUSLIM Institute Islamabad on January 27 2022. Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin delivered the special lecture. Chairman MUSLIM Institute & Dewan of Junagadh State Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali shared his welcoming remarks. MUSLIM Institute and the University of Jhang organized one day “National H̱aḏrat Sultan Bahoo Conference” on January 20, 2022, at Chenab College Jhang. The conference comprised an inaugural session, an academic session followed by Kalam-e-Bahoo Session. Federal Minister for Ministry of SAFRON, Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan was the Chief Guest of the academic session. Dewan of Junagadh and Chairman MUSLIM Institute, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali chaired the Academic Session. A large number of people from different walks of life participated in the conference.

Mr. Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz (Provincial Minister for Higher Education and Information Technology) joined as chief guest. His Excellency Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali (Dewan of Junagadh State & Chairman MUSLIM Institute) presided over the session. Dr. Humayu Ahsan (Principal Pakistan Law College, Lahore) delivered the keynote speech and Major General (Rtd) Zahid Mubashir Sheikh was also amongst distinguished speakers. MUSLIM Institute in collaboration with Azerbaijan Institute of theology organized a webinar “Concept of Moderation in Islam” on 29th June 2021. Maj. Gen. Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir and MUSLIM Institute organised a seminar titled “Palestine and Kashmir Crisis: Call for Justice” at Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services on 27th May 2021. One minute of silence was observed at the start of the event to express solidarity with the people of Palestine and Kashmir. MUSLIM Institute organized Kashmir Solidarity Walk on Friday, February 5, 2021, from China Chowk, Blue Area to National Press Club, Islamabad. Purpose of the walk was to raise voice against the brutalities and gross human rights violations by Indian occupying forces in Jammu & Kashmir. The Solidarity Walk aimed at condemnation of state terrorism by India in Kashmir, supporting freedom struggle of Kashmiris, expressing solidarity with them, urging the international community to play its due role and fulfil its pledges made with Kashmiri people and especially illegal demographic changes by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir to suppress the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people. Moreover, placards highlighted the long awaited as well as necessitated role of the United Nations Security Council to stop the violence and brutality in Indian Occupied Kashmir. Banners also highlighted the need of intervention by the international community to resolve Kashmir issue through the practice of the right of self-determination as promised by numerous UNSC resolutions. In addition to Kashmir, the participants were also carrying banners and placards in favour of freedom movement of Junagadh, Khalistan, Manipur and Nagaland. MUSLIM Institute and Faculty of Oriental Learning, University of the Punjab, Lahore organized 3rd Two Days International Conference on "Mevlana Rumi and Haḍrat Sultan Bahoo: Preachers of Human Friendship, Peace, Tolerance and Coexistence in the World" on Thursday - Friday, February 20-21, 2020 at University of the Punjab, Lahore. Proceedings of Day Two are included in this newsletter.

To commemorate Iqbal Day, research-oriented think-tank MUSLIM Institute organized two days conference “Application of Iqbalian Vision in 21st Century” on 6 & 7 November, 2012 at Islamabad Hotel, Islamabad. Among representatives of all sections of society, the conference was attended by renowned analysts, professors and students of various universities, parliamentarians from the Provincial and National Assemblies, foreign diplomats, members of various research organizations and a large number of journalists and academics.

A seminar titled “Challenges to Islamic Identity of Pakistan” was organized in Islamabad on the afternoon of 16^th July by MUSLIM Institute, an Islamabad based think tank.

On 06 October, 2012 MUSLIM Institute organised round table discussion on the topic “Pak Russia Relations: An Overview & Future Strategy”. Air Marshal (R) Shaid Latif and Maj(R) Raja Mujtaba were honorable experts on the occasion.

The MUSLIM Institute, Islamabad-based research oriented think-tank, organized a seminar “Plight of Muslims in Myanmar, Responsibilities of Muslim World and International Community” in a local hotel.

MUSLIM Institute organized a round table discussion on “Gaza Israel Current Conflict and Responsibilities of International Community” on 19 Nov, 2012 in Islamabad. Mr. Husni M. Abu Ghosh, representative of the Palestinian mission in Pakistan, renowned columnist Rana Abdul Baqi and former Ambassador Amir Anwar Shadani were speakers on the occasion. Research associates of the MUSLIM Institute as well as from other think-tanks participated in the same.

A delegation of MUSLIM Institute a research based think tank was called on by the Palestinian diplomats at the Embassy of Palestine in Islamabad-Pakistan; in this meeting the revised Palestinian statehood bid which is set for a vote in the UN General Assembly on November 29 was discussed.
