Allama Inyat Ullah Qadri

Expressing his views, Allama Inyat Ullah Qadri, researcher on writings of Hadrat Sultan Bahoo (R.A), stated that Allah has described those who sacrifice their lives for Him as “martyrs” and not dead. They are, in fact, alive but only those blessed with discerning minds can comprehend lives of martyrs. Hadrat Imam Hussain’s (A.S) martyrdom is source of life for Islam. It is a process of sacrifice that started with Hadrat Ismaeel (A.S) and culminated in Hadrat Imam Hussain’s (A.S) martyrdom. Hadrat Imam Hussain (A.S) saved Islam till doomsday by sacrificing his life. Hadrat Sultan Bahoo (R.A) in his book “Eye of Faqr” states that the Karbala was a struggle between the followers of lust and followers of truth. Love for materialism breeds lust. Hadrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and his companions suffered persecution at the hands of Yazeed and his followers for opposing their worldly lust and for raising voice for truth. In the prevailing scenario, we also need thought and passion of Hadrat Imam Hussain (A.S) to make all kind of sacrifices for supporting truth. We should abide by truth and always stand for it as did Hadrat Imam Hussain (A.S).

Prof. Fateh Muhammad Malik
Renowned Intellectual

Renowned intellectual Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik said that Hadrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and his companions sacrificed their lives against monarchy and for revival of Caliphate. Their determination to face all atrocities of Yazeed and his followers was for protection of religion. Regarding prevailing sectarian polarization in the country, Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik said that terrorism being faced by us has roots outside the country and external elements are pitting Muslims against each other by distorting our history. Commenting on situation in Middle East and Egypt, he said that the same forces are at work there to weaken Muslims. He further stated that proponents of sectarianism are not followers of Hadrat Imam Hussain (A.S) as he was above any such divide. We need to promote real philosophy behind martyrdom of Hadrat Imam Hussain’s (A.S) to curb scourge of sectarianism in our country.
